Last month Diddy and Cassie were spotted
leaving a fertility clinic in Los Angeles. Welp - it looks like it WORKD . . . and Cassie is PREGNANT.
What happened? Well yesterday, Cassie posted a pic of herself on Instagram showing a BULGING BELLY. When she noticed her F*CK UP she quickly took down the pic - cropped it - and put it back up, this time not showing her GUT.

Kanye West Spent 4 Days Perfecting His Wedding Photo And It Pissed Kim Off
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s wedding photo may be the most-’liked’ pic on Instagram, but the newlyweds had to work for it.
Kanye spoke out for the first time on Tuesday (June 17) at the Cannes Lions’ International Festival of Creativity’s “Technology, Culture and Consumer Adoption: Learning to Read the Cultural Landscape” panel, about his fairytale wedding and the story behind their now famous kiss.
But that picture-perfect moment didn’t go exactly as planned: Famed photographer Annie Leibovitz, who shot their Vogue cover, “pulled out right before the wedding.”

'Guardians Of The Galaxy' Director Teases Huge Villain, 'Avengers 3' Clues
With Marvel, everything is always connected. So it's no surprise that their newest film, "Guardians of the Galaxy," will have big tie-ins to future Marvel properties. In fact, it might have ties to the biggest. "We're definitely connected to 'Avengers 3,' " director James Gunn says in the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly.
Gunn had already confirmed that Thanos, the famous Marvel villain who many suspect will be the big bad of "Avengers 3," will appear in the movie, though he will be entirely motion-captured in "Guardians" and there's no word on who's playing him yet. Still, Gunn was able to describe him a little bit, saying that in the movie, Thanos acts as "the head of the snake." Clearly, considering Thanos' appearances at the end of the first "Avengers" and in "Guardians," and given the fact that "Guardians" is connected to "Avengers 3," it doesn't seem to be a big jump to think that Thanos will be the main villain in "Avengers 3." Not only that, but considering that the mid-credits scene in "Thor: The Dark World" seemed to be setting up the "Infinity Gauntlet" storyline, it's a pretty good bet that the famous Thanos story from the comics will at least serve as some inspiration for the third film. We'll find out all, or at least a lot, of the answers when "Guardians of the Galaxy" premieres on August 1.
Drake's First Review As ESPYs Host: 'He's A Chicken Head'
Drake is feeling pretty confident about hosting the ESPYs in July, but it's always good to get a little feedback from the people in advance, right? During a visit to "Jimmy Kimmel Live" on Thursday night, Drizzy hit the streets in disguise to see how people really felt about him. As part of the "I Witness News" segment the YMCMB rapper was outfitted in a fake beard, a hair piece and glasses so he could quiz unsuspecting pedestrians. He started by asking, "How do you feel about Drake hosting the ESPYs last night?" And although the awards show isn't until July, everyone still had the nswers. "I think he definitely killed it, he did an awesome performance," was the first response. And what about when Drake refused to acknowledge Caucasian athletes at the ESPYs? "I think it's bologna, everybody should be treated equally and hopefully it'll probably impact his career a little bit too, in a negative way," one man responded. One person even went as far as strumming out a Drake dis song on his guitar, and then there was the guy who decided that it wasn't a good look when the rapper cried at the ESPYs. "Definitely not manly, I'd say he's a chicken head." I couldn't have said it better. Watch the segment above.
Justin Bieber And Lil Wayne Hit The Studio: See What They're Cooking Up
It's been a Young Money kind of week for Justin Bieber. On Friday (April 11), the Biebs posted two pictures on Instagram of him and Lil Wayne together in the studio. "Me and Tunechi in the studio," he wrote along with the first picture, before adding the equally nondescript "me and wayne" caption to his next photo. Birdman also shared a visual from the evening. "Latenite studio flow @justinbieber music amazin @birdman5star RG YMCMB," he wrote on Instagram, with a picture that looked to be from the same session as one posted last week, where Birdman also praised the young star: "Day 3 in studio late nite workin with nephew @justinbieber tht @austinmahone song is a HIT just heard tha mix RG YMCMB @birdman5star." Not long after his photos went up on Instagram today, Bieber tweeted, "No one knows what Im planning ;)." Did that relate to his session with Weezy? Maybe, but maybe not — no one knows, of course. What we do know is that, while he's not officially signed to YMCMB, Bieber has been treated like family by the crew's big dogs of late. On Monday night, he posted a picture of a Bugatti on Instagram, writing, "Uncle Stunna luv. My first Bugatti." Later in the week, reports surfaced that it was a loan, not a gift — but it's surely a telling gesture, no less. If the end result of the Biebs and Tunechi pics is a collaboration, it wouldn't be their first. The two worked together on "Backpack," from the singer's last release, Journals.
19 Killed in Boko Haram Attacks
Nineteen people have been killed in separate attacks by suspected members of Boko Haram who laid siege on some locations in Dikwa, Kala-Balge and Konduga government areas of Borno State between Thursday and yesterday. The attacks have heightened fears of a new wave of violence by the insurgents in parts of the state where hundreds of people were killed this year.
In Dikwa, one of the ancient towns in Borno State, it was gathered that the insurgents stormed a college in the early hours of Thursday, killed six teachers, two security men and took away some young women whose number is not immediately clear.
A resident, Modu Kakarimi, who fled to Maiduguri yesterday said when they heard endless gunshots, so they had to flee to the bushes in search of safety. "Our fear was heightened when we saw the boarding school in flames. We later gathered that they have killed eight there. We fled together with our women and children," he said.
Senator Ahmed Zanna (Borno Central) who spoke to journalists on phone confirmed the incident in Dikwa but added that he was yet to get full details. "There was siege on one of the schools in the town just after midnight on Friday.
Mustapha Ali, a traveler who passed through Dalwa on his way to Maiduguri said the insurgents stormed the highway in broad daylight. Weekly Trust gathered that the insurgents also laid siege on Gwoza and Kalahgde in Southern part of Borno State on Thursday. They were said to have engaged the military in the two towns in an exchange of gunfire in an attempt to take control of the towns.
Telephone services in Gwoza and environs were not going through but people from the area who made it to Maiduguri said most GSM masts had been vandalized by the attackers. There was no official comment on the incidents by security agencies in Maiduguri.
President Has Failed, APC Ready to Lead - Tinubu
Nigeria's election next February will be the first nationwide two-party contest since the end of military rule in 1999. The emergence last year of the All Progressives Congress (APC), a merger of the country's four largest opposition movements, altered the political landscape, posing a serious challenge for the People's Democratic Party which has held the presidency for 15 years.
Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the new party's unofficial national leader and chief strategist, served two four-year terms as governor of Lagos, the megacity-state second in size only to Cairo in Africa, with a population exceeding 20 million, according to some estimates. Tinubu, who earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Chicago State University and worked as an accountant for Deloitte in the United States and Mobil in Nigeria, was also a leader of the democracy campaign that erupted after the Nigerian military annulled the 1993 election. There has been widespread speculation he could be chosen as the APC vice presidential candidate during the party's convention on 24 May. The leading contender for the top slot is believed to be Muhammadu Buhari, a retired general who served as military ruler in the 1980s and has run for president in the past three elections, coming in second each time. Tinubu spoke with AllAfrica's Reed Kramer about APC's prospects and platform.
Why should vote Nigerians for APC?
With APC, a new Nigeria is possible. This nation needs leaders who think and perform - not just ordinary thinkers, but doers. It's very rare. You can find policies all over the place, but have you been able to implement? I have done that in Lagos, and they've seen it. A new city has manifested in their very eyes. It's working. We moved from [controlling] one state when I was a governor, to many across the country today - 16 states.
Is that enough support to defeat the PDP and win the election?
It's enough, because those are the critical states - unless we carry the wrong message. If we did lose the election, then it means they've rigged. How can they win the election if they don't have Kano, Lagos, Rivers, Oyo, Ogun [states]? Do the arithmetic. It's the numbers. Nigeria has started on a new democratic journey.
Why did you include in your recent birthday celebration a symposium that focused on 'the common man'?
My friends organized it. They know my passion - to give an opportunity for ordinary people to express themselves, to pour out their frustrations, difficulties and the problems that they might be having in their various endeavors. If you understand the difficulties out there in the grassroots, you will be able to plan to mitigate that difficult situation. If there are weaknesses in the system which are preventing them from realizing their objectives, then you can plan. It's very important to be informed.
What are some examples of information that came out of the symposium?
The fertilizer problem is one - there's dishonesty in the distribution. The fact is that it's become too expensive and shouldn't be controlled by the Federal Government. Why should the Federal Government take that responsibility? Why not push it to the states? The states are closer to the people. Local Councils are much, much closer to farm producers. Why not leave it to them?
What is your overall assessment of the Federal Government's agricultural reforms, which includes restructuring delivery or fertilizer and seeds to farmers?
There are good intentions. Since the 1960s, every leader in this country has talked about agriculture and food security, but none of them has implemented it faithfully. They come in with academic theories, but the way you handle agriculture in America or Britain is not the same way you can do it here. The infrastructure there and the commodity markets are not the same as that of Nigeria. You can copy method, processes and procedures, but you cannot copy totally because they mechanize farming. They have irrigation. We don't have much of that. You have to localize it, and whatever support in terms of finances that you have must go directly to the farmers. By creating bureaucracy, you're not going to get reform achieved.
How would the APC approach agriculture differently?
APC's plan is to create demand first. For example, in the schools [we need to] provide nutritional value for our children by offering, let's say, one egg for every pupil in the school per day. If you do that, poultry will spring up all over the country and that will create small-scale industry and jobs. The chicken feed required to create those eggs is an industry by itself. If you add half a loaf of bread, that will create tremendous bakery opportunities. You can include some pineapple juice, mango juice, some milk. Our pineapple plantations will grow. Mangos wasting away will be used. You will have an industrial base. And you will increase nutrition of our children and the enrollment in schools by 5000 percent. Children will voluntarily go to school, if only to eat. You take child labour and vagabonds out of the streets. This will galvanize the economy, and you must be ready to fund it.
Can the government afford this?
The funding is there. What is the cost of an egg? What is the cost of making an orange juice? We have a pilot programme going in Osun State, and it is working. If you put internal controls in place to prevent irregularities and fraud, you will make enough savings out of the monies that are now being wasted and stolen to save the children of Nigeria.
Is it possible for Nigeria to conduct a credible, free and fair election and to have that election peaceful?
Oh yes. Every democrat must strive for a free and fair election in order to deserve the joy of victory. There is no programme that is perfect, but there are basic steps you can take. Biometrics, for example, is a modern technology that will validate and verify the detail of every registered voter. Why not employ that? We're using it on I-Phone. Why not for voting? We are going to hold the umpire to account.
The umpire being the Independent National Electoral Commission [INEC]?
INEC, yes. We have to hope and expect INEC to operate with independence and respect for the rule of law. It is only when you do that that you have a nation.
It seems if there's anything that Nigerians agree on, it is that all their politicians are corrupt. Are all politicians corrupt?
No! We shout of corruption all the time, but what have we done to control it and to really enhance the value and quality of life of our society? Poverty is part of this multi-faceted problem. Every human being has a desire for a good quality of life. You cannot talk about corruption in the judiciary, for example, if you have not developed a system where you pay your judges well. If you give them a standard of living and don't steal their pension plan, there's no need for corruption. Have you paid your police officers an amount necessary for them to support their family? If you have not done that and the guy on the roadside collects a bribe, then don't blame him.
With transparency, accountability - honesty in the system - you can stop corruption. When I was a governor, I told my bureaucrats: please understand that the public is your customer. Treat them like you want them to treat you if you go into their grocery store to purchase a package of items? This is a two-way street. The service agency has a responsibility to the public, and the public has responsibility to insure that any government agency will perform.
Were you able to make progress against corruption when you were governor?
I was. I eliminated that thing in my judiciary, it is clear. I eliminated it in the civil service, particularly the permanent secretaries and down the line. Agencies were functioning effectively for the people. We were able to create jobs without increasing taxes. Ordinary people were sweeping the streets. I could have gone for procurement of mechanical sweepers, and that would have created few job opportunities. But I said: Let's use human beings. Let's bring dignity of labour back.
Can this be done on a national level?
If it succeeds in Lagos, there is no place that it will not succeed in Nigeria! This is a microcosm of the country.
What is the key to poverty alleviation in Nigeria?
Concentrate on the people. Make the people the cornerstone of the social and economic policy of the nation. It's not being done. We are earning enough here to improve the quality of life of our citizens. Economic growth must come first, and government must pay attention to medical care, to infrastructure and electricity. Why are they not concentrated on that? [There is a] lack of clear vision to respond to the needs of the people.
What can an APC government do differently to address the insecurity in the north of the country?
We will end it! No one should kill other human beings, innocent people, and say 'God is great'. These people declare war against our liberty. We've experienced this type of insurgency before - during the Miatatsine [a 1980 uprising led by an Islamic preacher in Kano that claimed several thousand lives]. It was General Buhari who chased them out of the country. There is monumental corruption in the system [involving] money for those people who are supposed to fight the Boko Haram. The guy who is benefiting from the insurgency may not want it to end! They have allowed the problem to fester.
We would take serious and decisive action. These people are not dropping from the sky. They are coming from somewhere. Have we summoned the presidents of Cameroon and Chad to take decisive action? We have to hold our neighboring countries responsible.
Don't pass the buck Mr. President. You failed. That is all I will say to that.
Is Leonardo DiCaprio The New Jay Z?
Will Poulter may be nominated for three MTV Movie Awards this year for his performance in "We're the Millers," but come Sunday, he'll be stanning hard for one of his fellow Best Musical Moment nominees. Asked by MTV News which other contender in the category he'd like to share a duet with, having earned his place on the list with a well-practiced rendition of TLC's "Waterfalls" in "Millers," Poulter easily ticked several of the contenders off his list: He thinks he'd let the Backstreet Boys down ("I can't really dance") and thinks Jennifer Lawrence would outshine him. He would however, drop mad beats with the Wolf of Wall Street himself, Leonardo DiCaprio.
"Like Kanye and Jay Z, maybe something off the Watch the Throne album, something like that," Poulter said, fantasizing about what song they'd team up for. (And a note for the stagehands: We're only going to be needing one mic for this. Yeah, it's like that.) "I think I'd be Jay if I could choose," he said. "But I'd let Leo choose. You know, It's Leonardo DiCaprio, he can choose. Like, it's him. I'll pick up whatever he's not taking." More like Wolf of Baller Street, right? Right. What we're trying to say is: Leo, please call Will. We need to see this happen.
A London-born Nigerian Hollywood star, Chiwetel Ejiofor said he was proud to be identified
Mr. Ejiofor said this in Lagos at the premiere of a movie "Half of a Yellow Sun" based on a novel written by a Nigerian novelist, Chimamanda Adichie. He said that there was a wrong impression that he claimed not to be a Nigerian.
"During the period of publicising "Twelve Years a Slave", I was asked where I was originally from. I suppose I was trying to give an honest answer about where I was born, and so, I said London, which is where I was born. And to me, it was a surprising reaction that people then concluded that I didn't identify as Nigerian.
"Of course, I am Nigerian-British, but if they ask me where I was born, I can't say Enugu, because I wasn't born in Enugu, but, it doesn't mean that I don't identify as Nigerian.
"I am proud of being Nigerian that I am extraordinarily happy to be here to make this film. We wanted to make a film in Nigeria for several years, maybe 20 years. Several years we talked about making a film in Nigeria, internationalise the market, we know there is so much, there's a handful of energy and ability in Nigeria.
"And, for those of us that were born overseas, we want to get back into all of that and try to work together and make films and internationalise what is a wonderful market community."
Biyi Bandele, who directed "Half of a Yellow Sun" said, the movie is essentially a love story. According to him, it's about people falling in love and the sacrifices you have to make sometimes when you are in a relationship.
"It is about a generation of Nigerians who grew up in the 1960s which is when Nigeria, along with most African countries gained independence. And, this is a generation of Africans, of Nigerians, who were so imbued with confidence, with enthusiasm, with optimism about the future of the country and

Gay Jailed For 21 Years For Murdering Wife, Burning Body To Try And Hide His Sexuality
A gay bank worker who murdered his wife and burned her body in the back garden in a desperate attempt to hide his se*uality has been jailed for 21 years.
Jasvir Ginday, 29, throttled Varkha Rani, 24, just months after they smiled for pictures and tied the knot at a lavish arranged marriage ceremony in India attended by 700 people. The Royal Bank of Scotland employee then stuffed her body into a patio incinerator, doused her in petrol and set her alight.
A jury at Wolverhampton crown court heard how neighbours and passers-by had seen smoke with a strange smell coming from the couple’s marital home in Walsall, West Midlands. As the guilty verdict was read out, Ginday – who police say was “living a lie” – stared down at the floor and was told that his actions were “unbelievably casual and callous”.
Throughout the three-week trial, Ginday insisted he had accidentally killed Ms Rani while restraining her with a vacuum cleaner hose. It came after she had apparently threatened to expose his homosexuality to family and friends after finding “compromising” material on an iPad and an iPhone.
But the jury of seven women and five men believed the prosecution’s case that the RBS man had planned the killing of his university-educated wife, just three weeks after she arrived in the UK from India last August.
Among the evidence used against Ginday was an internet search for a patio incinerator, made just days after Ms Rani arrived in the country, and CCTV footage showing him buying a bottle of petrol which he used to burn her body.
Ginday, who had already admitted manslaughter and perverting the course of justice, initially told police that his wife had packed her bags and walked out on him following a row.
Recounting the killing, Ginday told the jury how the couple had an argument on September 12 last year. He claimed she had come at him in the bedroom “thrashing” and he was trying to calm her down.
They ended up on the floor, at which point Ginday said he grabbed the metal pipe of a vacuum cleaner which was lying nearby and put it on her neck. The regular gym-goer insisted that he panicked, dragged his new bride to the incinerator and placed her inside using the metal pole.
The following day, when two police officers carried out a search of the house for clues as to Ms Rani’s whereabouts, Ginday’s story began to fall apart. When one constable asked him the cause of the “ridiculous” smell coming from his yard, he first replied “ashes” but then corrected himself, saying: “I mean leaves.”
Officers then approached the incinerator and discovered Ms Rani’s badly burned remains.
A post-mortem examination was unable to establish a definitive cause of death, but recorded that Ms Rani had a “reddening” of her throat and – after death – had received at least 12 blows to the head from a rounded object, which the prosecution said had been caused by Ginday using a metal pole to push her body further down into the incinerator.
It emerged during the trial that Ginday had entertained concerned family members at his home who were worried about Ms Rani’s disappearance – while her remains were in the incinerator.
In a statement issued following the guilty verdict, Ms Rani’s cousin, Sunil Kumar, said: “No words can truly express the sadness and hurt my family and I are experiencing at the loss of Varkha. She was loved dearly by all, she had a great passion for life and doted on her family.
“Varkha attained a masters degree and was driven to make her life a success. Unfortunately, she fell prey to Ginday who had ulterior motives which Varkha would not have appreciated.”
Detective Chief Inspector Sarbjit Johal, the officer in charge of the murder inquiry, said: “How Varkha met her death still remains a mystery. Her body was badly damaged but it was clear to the pathologist that she was dead when she was put into the incinerator.
“Ginday got married as a matter of convenience – he tricked a poor innocent girl into marriage but was living a lie. When she uncovered the truth, he could not live with it and killed her quickly, then tried to dispose of her body and her possessions by burning them.”

END TIME: Jesus Christ Had A Wife, Scholar, Scientists Claim With New Proof
A Harvard professor and some scientist are claiming a segment of papyrus seemingly mentioning that Jesus had a WIFE in a ancient document and not forgery.
Following a series of tests, the papyrus is said to be written in Coptic and contains a dialogue in which Jesus refers to “my wife.”
Karen King, a professor at the Harvard Divinity School, writes in the Harvard Theological Review that the papyrus is almost certainly a product of ancient Christians and probably dates to eighth-century Egypt, based on carbon dating and chemical tests on the ink.
* An ancient fragment provided as proof by scholar and scientists that Jesus had a wife during his lifetime
According to Prof King and her team, none of the testing has produced any evidence that the fragment is a modern fabrication or forgery.
It was gathered that the fragment, which has some legible lines on the front and on the back, contains the words: “Jesus said to them, ‘My wife …. She will also be my disciple.”
James Yardley from Columbia University, and Alexis Hagadorn from Columbia University Libraries, used a technique called micro-Raman spectroscopy to determine that the carbon character of the ink matched samples of other papyri that date from the first to eighth centuries CE.
Malcolm Choat from Macquarie University examined the fragment at HDS and offered an independent assessment of the handwriting.
Prof King first announced the existence of the fragment in September 2012, at the International Coptic Congress in Rome, where she dubbed it “The Gospel of Jesus’s Wife.”
The use of the word “gospel” refers to the fragment’s most distinctive claim that Jesus was married. * Jesus loves carrying kids according to Bible teachings
Her announcement caused controversy among Christians and religious scholars, many of whom believe the document may be a forgery because of the poor grammar, shape of the handwriting and the ink’s colour and quality.
The Vatican newspaper also released an editorial after the announcement declaring it a fake.
However, Prof King has stressed the text does not prove Jesus actually had a wife, but suggests ancient Christians wrote about this possibility.
“The main topic of the fragment is to affirm that women who are mothers and wives can be disciples of Jesus—a topic that was hotly debated in early Christianity as celibate virginity increasingly became highly valued,” Prof King said.
“This gospel fragment provides a reason to reconsider what we thought we knew by asking what the role claims of Jesus’s marital status played historically in early Christian controversies over marriage, celibacy, and family.”
But Brown University Professor Leo Depuydt, in an analysis also published Thursday by the Harvard Theological Review, remains unconvinced and argues the text contains grammatical errors that a native Coptic speaker would not make.

Game's Bad Week Gets Worse: From 40 Glocc Beef To Ex-Fiancee Drama
Game is having a rough week. After his ex-fiancée, Tiffney Cambridge, claimed the Compton MC attacked her and broke her nose during a domestic dispute in March, he's facing a court date later this month. Until then, a judge has ordered Game to stay at least 100 yards away from Cambridge, according to TMZ. Adding to his troubles at home, Game's rival 40 Glocc took to Instagram after the news broke and alleged that Cambridge cheated on the rapper with "Basketball Wives" reality star Tami Roman. Glocc continued his Instagram attack this week, posting pics of Cambridge and Game's kids, captioning each photo with sexual boasts and insults too heinous to publish here. Glocc and Game have had a longstanding rap feud that even sparked a fight that was captured on video and spread all across the Internet in 2012. But now Glocc, who was once signed to 50 Cent's G-Unit Records, has denied posting the photos on Instagram, saying his account was hacked. "MY INSTAGRAM IS HACKED!.. ON MY MOMMA," he wrote in all caps. News of Game's domestic troubles first broke on April 4, but sources close to the star of VH1's "Marrying the Game" told TMZ that the rapper adamantly denied laying a finger on Cambridge. On Thursday, Game posted a long message about not being able to see his kids. And while he quickly deleted it from Instagram, the post remains on Twitter. "Doing the best I can not to break," the message read in part.
Doing the best I can not to break.. But it's funny how someone you've done so much for can be so ugly... http://t.co/PJbdspQouR
— Handsome Ass Nigga (@thegame) April 11, 2014 MTV News was on hand to witness Game's marriage proposal to Cambridge, when he surprised her at her job with a ring back in 2011. Since then, we've seen the couple's relationship play out on the VH1 reality series "Marrying the Game," but the two have since broken up.
Kanye West's Adidas Sneakers Won't Be Coming In June: Find Out When
Excited about those new Kanye West sneakers? Of course you are, but sneaker heads who were expecting 'Ye's first Adidas-branded shoe to drop in June will have to wait a little bit longer. On Monday, West caused quite the stir when he attended the Adidas Global Brand Conference and announced that we'll "see" his new kicks in June, but according to popular fashion site Highsnobiety.com, fans will have to hold out until spring 2015. An Adidas rep told the site that there is a possibility that things can change and a sneaker could possibly hit this fall or winter, but the official release is planned for next year. If all goes according to schedule, the product design will be finished in June and maybe then we can "see" images of the shoe, but they won't hit retail at that time. After growing disheartened with Nike and how the sneaker giant handled his Air Yeezy 2 release, Kanye sought out a new deal and signed on with Adidas in December. "With this opportunity to create, I feel like I can be myself," Kanye told the crowd at the conference. "This was the company that was experienced and brave enough to give me the opportunity to create."

Adam Sandler And Drew Barrymore Give Best Kiss Advice
Perhaps she doesn't know it, but Bella Thorne just worked in the company of MTV Movie Awards royalty. Thorne, best known for playing CeCe Jones on Disney Channel's "Shake It Up," will soon be seen on the big-screen in "Blended," the upcoming comedy about a bad blind date that blossoms into true romance. "Blended" stars Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore, the winners of a combined total of eight Movie Awards statuettes, for their work in "The Wedding Singer" and "50 First Dates." It's early days yet, but maybe — just maybe — some of that Movie Awards magic rubbed off on Thorne. If nothing else, the young actress has her sights set on a Movie Awards category she hopes to one day dominate.
"The Best Kiss award," she told MTV's Josh Horowitz with a big grin. "I love that one. It's my favorite!" Thorne even has her eye on one of this year's Best Shirtless Performance nominees as her future kissing partner: "The Wolf of Wall Street" actor Leonardo DiCaprio. "I love Leonardo DiCaprio," she said. "When I meet him for the first time, I'm going to be like, 'Oh, thank goodness we've finally met, because now I don't have to plan the wedding alone!'" That forward declaration aside, Thorne ought to start planning how to win the Best Kiss award now — and she doesn't need to look any further for advice than Sandler and Barrymore, who previously scored a Best Kiss award of their own for their rain-soaked "50 First Dates" make-out moment. "It does so much for the kiss," Sandler said of how rainstorms affect smooch scenes. "It tightens up the body. You feel chilly. You're cold. You're tight. Your nipples are way out there."
"Yeah," Barrymore added, "mine too!" Okay, that last part is a little, ah, out there. Otherwise, there you have it, Thorne: Leonardo DiCaprio, in the rain — a few years from now and that Golden Popcorn could be yours!
Robert Mugabe bribery comment offends Nigeria
Nigeria has summoned Zimbabwe's envoy over remarks President Robert Mugabe made about corruption, state media say.
Mr Mugabe reportedly said last month that Zimbabweans were becoming "like Nigeria" when it came to corruption.
Nigeria summoned Zimbabwe's diplomat on Thursday, calling Mr Mugabe's comments "vitriolic and denigrating", Nigeria's state news agency said.
In its 2013 index, Transparency International listed Zimbabwe as more corrupt than Nigeria.
The list released by the Berlin-based organisation placed Nigeria as 144th out of 175 countries on its Corruption Perceptions Index 2013, while Zimbabwe was ranked 157th.
Mr Mugabe criticised corruption in Zimbabwe in March, asking: "Are we now like Nigeria where you have to reach into your pocket to get anything done?"
On Thursday, Nigeria's foreign ministry summoned Zimbabwean envoy Stanley Kunjeku, lodging "the strongest protest" against the statement, News Agency of Nigeria said.
"Not only does it not reflect the reality in our country, but to come from a sitting president of a brotherly country is most unkind and very dishonourable,'' the ministry added.
A 2013 survey by Transparency International found that one person in four had paid a bribe to a public body over the last year, with the poor record of some African Nations on bribery standing out
Nollywood's Most Expensive Stars
One of the most significant phenomena that portrays the rich cultural heritage of the people of Nigeria and indeed Africa in an entertaining style, is Nigeria's movie industry popularly called Nollywood. From humble beginnings, Nigeria's truly home grown and funded film industry is now ranked as the third largest producer of films, behind Hollywood and Bollywood. In just over two decades, Nollywood has grown into a $250million (about N41bn)-a year industry, employing thousands of Nigerians.
Nollywood productions, which also include Kannywood films, are hugely popular all over Africa and sought for in Europe and the USA, with growing impact on the global stage. Nigerian stars are household names across Africa and beyond. LEADERSHIP Friday here takes a brief look at Nollywood's most expensive stars.
Pete Edochie
Pete Edochie is one of Nigeria's outstanding actors who have worked hard to get Nollywood to its present status. Edochie was born in 1947 in Enugu, in eastern Nigeria. A seasoned administrator and broadcaster, he came into prominence in the 1980s when he played the lead role of Okonkwo in an NTA adaptation of Chinua Achebe's all-time bestselling novel, Things Fall Apart. For close to two decades now Edochie has starred in many home movies. The veteran actor was considered one of Africa's most talented actors by both Movie Awards and Movie Magic's Africa Magic Cable Network.
Edochie got into radio broadcasting in 1967 as a junior programmes assistant and rose through the ranks to the level of a director before his resignation.
Olu Jacobs
Oludotun Baiyewa Jacobs, whom every household in Nigeria knows as Olu Jacobs, is another Nigerian veteran actor, who has starred in over 120 Nollywood films. In 2007, he won the African Movie Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role.

The versatile and untiring screen icon is also known for I Go Chop your Dollar, a song about advance fee fraud popularly referred to as "419". Mercy charges a whopping N2.1million just to play a role or feature in a movie. Her charges recently rattled the Nollywood Movie Marketers Association and producers to the extent that she was banned for being too expensive in the industry. The ban, which was placed towards the end of last year, was however lifted, making her once more highly sought after.

Genevieve Nnaji has expanded her relevance from acting to also modelling and music. In the Nollywood family, she is one of the highest paid stars. To feature in a movie, the Mbaise, Imo State-born movie star charges N2m. In 2005, she was the winner of the Africa Movie Academy Award for the Best Actress in a Leading Role.

Despite her wealth, she prefers to live in the village, coming to the city when she has a movie production to attend on location.
Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde

The last in a family of five children, Diobu showed early signs of acting at a local church in Anambra State. He became a professional actor in 2001, with his parents blessing, featuring in the movie entitled Borderline, directed by Adim William. The movie didn't gain the actor much popularity. However, he hit it big time in 2008 and 2009 when he received awards for the Best Supporting Actor for the years 2008 and 2009.
On February 12, 2009 he, alongside other Nigerian artistes, signed a two-year Glo Ambassador contract worth N50m. In 2012, he was rumoured to have bought his mum a furnished mansion at Trans-Ekulu, Enugu State. As a businessman, Diobu noted on his Twitter page of September 9, 2012 that his businesses and profession keep him well occupied.

Google Glass To Go On Sale For Single Day
Google Glass will go on sale to the US public on 15 April for a single day, the company has announced.
Users must be 18 years old and are required to fill in an online form in order to be eligible to buy the device.
The eyewear will cost $1,500 (£894) and the BBC understands UK developers may have access as early as May.
The high price will be likely to deter many enthusiasts, who may be forced to wait for price reductions.
The tech giant sold the device to 8,000 individuals in 2013 as part of their Explorer programme. Google will now give more people the opportunity to test the computer, a sign that the company is getting closer to an official release.
The BBC understands that UK developers may have access to the device as early as May or June, making Britain the first country outside the US to gain additional prototypes.
The Glass team said they were "excited to meet our new Explorers, and we can't wait to hear your thoughts about Glass."
'Limited functionality'
While the £894 asking price seems high, Steven Graves, deputy editor of Stuff.tv, told the BBC this was likely to change: "The thing you have to bear in mind is it is still in development and that people are buying into that development.
"I think it's quite a high price but that doesn't necessarily reflect what the price will be when it is eventually released to consumers. At this stage they just want to get it in a few more hands."
Google Glass will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis after an initial online sign-up process.
Evan Kypreos, editor of TrustedReviews, said: "$1,500 is far too expensive for something that has very limited functionality at the moment.
"Google is targeting just a few early adopters to understand how to further develop Glass and doesn't actually want average Joes using it until it's a much more mature product.
"It's similar to how mobile phones came about," explains Mr Kypreos. "In the 80s, only a handful of people used them. They were bulky, expensive and could only be used to make calls. Thirty years later and most of the population has a smartphone that can do pretty much anything a PC can."
Early adopters of the wearable headset include BBC's Rory Cellan-Jones, who has been blogging about his experience
Nigeria: House Joins Senate to Pass N4.69 Trillion Budget
The House of Representatives Thursday followed in the footsteps of the Senate to pass a budget of N4.695 trillion for the 2014 fiscal year.
The Senate had on Wednesday passed the budget with the same figure, which is N53 billion higher than the N4.642 estimates submitted by the executive.
With the House's passage of the 2014 Appropriation Bill, both chambers of the National Assembly will be expected to set up a harmonisation committee to resolve whatever differences they might have, especially in sectoral allocations in the budget before the document is transmitted to President Goodluck Jonathan for assent.
The passage of the budget by the House was however not a smooth exercise as Hon. Kingsley Chinda (PDP, Rivers) raised a point of order, which if it had been adopted, would have stalled the approval of the fiscal bill Thursday.
Chinda invoked Order 97, Rule 8 of the House, which states that consideration of the clauses of an Appropriation Bill shall be postponed until a compendium giving details of the budget accompanies it.
His reason for raising the objection stemmed from the charge that the budget did not make provisions for capital projects in his state.
Chinda also cited the same Order, Sub-rule 5, which states that when a bill is read for the second time, it shall be committed to a committee of the House and subsequently deliberated upon by the Appropriation Committee, which will then pass it on to the House for consideration.
However, his suggestion that the motion for the passage of the budget be stood down and the Easter break suspended to enable the House do a thorough job drew the ire of his colleagues who shouted "nay" until the Speaker, Hon. Aminu Tambuwal, waded in to restore order.
After Chinda's submission, the House Minority Leader, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila (APC, Lagos) drew the attention of the chamber to Order 17, which states that proceedings on the budget shall not be interrupted or postponed once it has begun. He urged the House to suspend its rule and consider the fiscal document.
Tambuwal then ruled Chinda out of order, paving the way for the House to proceed with its consideration of the budget.
A schedule of the budget bill passed into law indicates that of the N4.695 trillion passed, N408.68 billion was allocated to statutory transfer, while N712 billion is meant for the servicing of foreign and domestic debts.
Under recurrent expenditure, ministries, departments and agencies (MDAs), federal executive bodies (FEBs), service wide votes and pensions and the Presidential Amnesty Programme got N1.95 trillion, N13.76 billion, N301.838 billion and N63.281 billion, respectively.
From the N1.119 trillion earmarked as capital expenditure, provisions were made for 42 MDAs, seven FEBs and capital supplementation. The Subsidy Re-investment and Empowerment Programme (SURE-P) got N268.370 billion.
The passage of the budget was preceded by a closed-door executive session on Wednesday, which the House Committee Chairman on Media and Public Affairs, Hon Zakari Mohammed, explained was held to "play down the issue of the legal process of passing the budget".
"We allowed common sense to prevail in order to ensure that the budget sails through in the interest of Nigerians. We couldn't wait for two weeks, as the House goes for Easter break, before passing the budget," he added.
He explained that capital projects needed to be kicked off quickly to ensure that Nigerians enjoy the dividends of democracy.
Meanwhile, the president has met with the National Assembly leadership with a view to foster better relations between the executive and legislative arms of government.
At the meeting, which held on Wednesday night and was attended by Senate President David Mark and Tambuwal, among others, it was agreed that special intervention funds should be provided for the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the National Judicial Commission (NJC) and other critical bodies.
Tambuwal, who gave insight into the deliberations at the meeting while the House was considering 12 clauses of the 2014 Appropriation Bill, before its passage, said they discussed funding for INEC, NJC and other strategic bodies and concluded that a pool of unspecified intervention funds be set aside for their operations.
The funds will be domiciled in the president's office, he added.
Nigeria: Eagles Soar Marginally in Fifa Ranking
The Super Eagles moved up two places in the latest FIFA rankings released yesterday with 620 points.
With Eagles goalless draw with South America giants, Mexico in Atlanta, USA last month, Nigeria moved into the 45th position globally as against the 47th of the previous month's ranking by the world soccer body.
Eagles similarly moved up two places in the rankings for Africa to occupy the sixth position behind Cape verde (5th), Ghana (4th), Algeria (3rd) and Egypt (2nd). The Elephants of Ivory Coast retained their number one position in African football.
With several friendly matches lined up for Stephen Keshi's wards leading to the World Cup in June, the Eagles are expected to chalk up a decent rating before hitting the Samba nation for a shot at the trophy. No African nation has reached the semi final of the mundial even as several football aficionados are expecting the Eagles' gaffer to attain that height.
Europe occupies the top three places on the FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking after Portugal climbed third behind leaders Spain and Germany. They are followed by four South American sides in Colombia, (4th), Uruguay (5th,) and Super Eagles Group opponents at Brazil 2014, Argentina who came down three places to occupy the sixth position. World Cup hosts, Brazil moved up three places to share the spot with Argentina. Greece returned to the top ten for the first time since October 2012, while Scotland moved up 15 places to the 22nd position in the world.
Meanwhile, Argentina's coach Alejandro Sabella said yesterday that he believes Super Eagles and the other teams (Iran and Bosnia -Herzegovina) in the Group F of Brazil 2014 were scared of his team.
"Our rivals will fear us because Argentina has an amazing front line," Sabella said on the national team's official website. Argentina ranked the highest in Group F at six in the world has won the golden fleece of football twice.

Jonah Hill Tells You About All The Ways He Got Laid In Latest '22 Jump Street' Red Band
They're back to f--- science again: The latest red band trailer for the upcoming "22 Jump Street" has hit the web, and it's a doozy. The gang's all back, from the crack-finding crack team of Jenko (Channing Tatum) and Schmidt (Jonah Hill), who are shown in couples therapy discovering the importance of interlacing their fingers while holding hands because of course they are, along with fearless leader Captain Dickston (Ice Cube). Even Eric (Dave Franco), now behind bars after the shenanigans of "21 Jump Street," makes an appearance. Hurrah!
Jenko and Schmidt go undercover to take on a new case on a college campus, because, hey, you can't pretend to be a high schooler when you're clearly a man closer to middle age than teenagerdom forever. Armed with bean bag chairs, a hot plate and a "hilarious shirt" with a beer joke on it, the duo set out to become the big men on campus. Can they find their perp and party at the same time? We'll find out when "22 Jump Street," directed by Christopher Miller and Phil Lord, hits theaters on June 6. And, bonus, Schmidt sees a little bit of action with ladies. Which he tells us all about in this restricted trailer, naturally.
Zac Efron Promises To Go Shirtless If He Wins At The MTV Movie Awards
Thinking about filming a shirtless scene in an upcoming movie, like the entire cast of "Neighbors" had to do? Then luckily, star Zac Efron has one hot tip for you.
"It's kind of embarrassing, but you do push-ups before a shirtless scene," Efron told MTV News as part of the MTV Movie Awards Takeover. We've previously covered the big news that Efron doffs anti-trou (that's a shirt, by the way) in way more of the upcoming comedy "Neighbors" than you might expect. Still, what works for Efron might not work for everyone. Take, for example, co-star Seth Rogen. "That literally never occurred to me until I was working with Zac," Rogen said on the pushup tip. "I saw him doing it, I was like, 'Wooooow!' That's what guys do! I do pushups before a scene, I'm just really tired and sweaty." So while Rogen may not be heading to the MTV Movie Awards to accept his win for Best Shirtless Performance anytime soon, Efron has already been nominated once, for his top-off turn in "That Awkward Moment." Even though Efron has abs for weeks, he's got some stiff competition in the God of Thunder himself, Chris Hemsworth. Back on March 7 Efron threw down whatever a gauntlet is for torso muscles (chest-plate, maybe?) with the following tweet:
If I beat Thor- I'm accepting the award shirtless on stage. #movieawards
— Zac Efron (@ZacEfron) March 8, 2014 Though Efron swears he actually likes Hemsworth, and isn't trying to start a beef, he'll stick by the tweet.
"So I jokingly tweeted, if I beat him I'll accept it shirtless," Efron said. "Now I have to. I'm a man of my word. If I win, I'll do it." Don't expect Rogen to join him in the audience if Efron does win — at least without doing a few push-ups, first.
Kanye West Producer Evian Christ Gives Details On Next Album
It was just a week ago that Kanye West postponed his Yeezus Tour, reportedly to work on his new album. Now, producer Evian Christ has dropped a few hints about the project. "I've got to get home and write an Otis Redding--style beat for him," the producer said during an interview with Self-Titled. "He e-mailed last night. He wants something that sounds a bit like Otis Redding, a bit like Mobb Deep." 'Ye enlisted Christ for his last album, Yeezus, for which the U.K. native produced "I'm in It." The 24-year-old offered the kind of sounds that West was looking for on his sixth album. "Kanye is the one dude who's like, 'This is not experimental enough. This is too poppy. Make something else,' " he said. "The other guys are like, 'We don't get it.' Kanye is a dream to work with. No one else gives you that level of creative freedom. When he wants you to work to a blueprint, the blueprint is: Don't make a rap beat. Anything but a rap beat." Despite what he said about his work with West, Christ tweeted on Thursday that he didn't want anyone to take his words about the next project as gospel:
these articles wtf only ye knows what next record is gonna sound like. i dunno. i just send beats. honestly, dont read too much into it
— evian christ (@evian_christ) April 10, 2014 Still, we do already know something about the album from the man himself. "I haven't named my next album, but I have started on it," 'Ye said back in November. "I write down philosophies all the time so I'll just have some thoughts and I just constantly, every time I think of it I write it. I'm just collecting. I'm just constantly working." The following month, he gave a few more details. "I think my next album is going to be eight songs," Kanye said during Art Basel in December. "It's just reducing down the amount of information that you need. People say a design is the point where you can't take anything else away. [Yeezus] was very, very designed. I took a departure from radio and popular music in order to get this seat here." The Yeezus Tour is scheduled to pick back up in Australia in September.
Shoe Thrown At U.S Secretary Of State
Hillary Rodham Clinton was ready with a quip after a woman threw a shoe at her as she took the stage for a Las Vegas speech. Security at the Mandalay Bay casino resort ushered out the woman, who said she threw a shoe at the former secretary of State. Authorities indicated the woman would be arrested. Clinton dodged the object, which sailed past her head.
“Good thing she didn’t play softball like I did,” Clinton joked, according to the Las Vegas Sun. Clinton and Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak were guest speakers at the meeting of the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries, which represents more than 1,700 companies that process, broker and industrially consume metals, paper, plastics, glass, rubber, electronics and textiles.
Clinton, who has said she’s thinking about running for president in 2016, has been making paid speeches and is finishing a new book about her State Department days that will be released June 10. She’s on a three-day swing of the West Coast.
The Clinton incident evokes a 2008 event in which an Iraqi journalist threw shoes at President George W. Bush in Baghdad.
I Am Not Ready For Marriage -Ice Prince
Hip-hop recording artiste Panshak Zamani, aka Ice Prince in a recent chat with Vanguard has revealed that even though he’s a dad at 27, marriage is actually the last thing on his mind right now.
Excerpts:
How has life been treating you generally?
I just thank God for my life because I don’t see obstacles as challenges the way other people see them, I only see them as stepping stones for me.
Why are you still single ?
I don’t think I am planning to get married now because am still young, I’m in my youth and moreover, I am just 27 years old. Maybe later in my late thirties I can start planning to get married or not.
But what are your reasons ?
It’s because I still have a long way to go before thinking of settling down. I can’t say because of what I have, that I am okay to get married, no. I don’t think I am mentally ready for marriage. I think before one could get married, one needs to attain certain level of understanding and awareness. I don’t think I have those qualities just yet.
But are you in any serious relationship, and any plan of settling down with your baby mama ?
Yeah , but I wouldn’t want to talk about my girlfriend and about the mother of my baby. She is good and we are not talking about getting married because I’m not ready yet.
Would Blackberry Continue In The Handset Business?
The boss of beleaguered smartphone
company Blackberry has denied telling a
news agency that it could quit the handset business.
Reuters yesterday quoted John Chen as
saying that “If I cannot make money on
handsets, I will not be in the handset
business”.
However, in a personal blog post Chen has said that his comments were taken “out of context, adding: “I want to assure you that I have no intention of selling off or abandoning this business any time soon.
“I know you still love your BlackBerry devices. I love them too and I know they created the foundation of this company. Our focus today is on finding a way to
make this business profitable.
“BlackBerry is not a handset-only company. We offer an end-to-end solution and devices are an important
part of that equation. That’s why we’re
complementing our Devices business with other revenue streams from enterprise services and software, to messaging.
“We will do everything in our power to continue to rebuild this business and deliver devices with the iconic keyboard and other features that you have come to expect from this brand. Rest assured, we continue to fight. We have not given up and we are not leaving the Devices business.”
In fiscal 2011 Blackberry shipped 52.3m devices. In its last quarter it shipped just 2m.
Lil Wayne Name-Drops His Many, Many Women On New Freestyle
Lil Wayne's got a lot of ladies, and he's not afraid to name 'em. In the latest episode of his weekly vlog series, "Weezy Wednesdays," the rapper kicked a freestyle over a live rendition of "6 Foot 7 Foot," where he lists the many women whom he's been with. "I just might go and get a dance from Sophia/ If I'm in the area," he raps at one point, before adding, "Know a bitch named Dominique/ She live right by the beach." The freestyle, which is backed by a live band and performed for Mack Maine and Weezy's manager, Cortez Bryant, comes as part of the video's opening sequence. "I live in Miami, it's way too many bitches," Tunechi raps, less as a complaint than boast. In total, in the brief minute and a half rhyme, the YMCMB MC namedrops more than half a dozen females. It's not all listing sexual escapades, though. He flexes his signature wit, too: "I live in Miami, it's way too many women/ Everybody cheatin', they on that Roger Clemens." Much of the rest of the video focuses on Tunechi's other favorite hobby: skateboarding. And long will this snippet have to hold fans over before they got some official new music from the rap star? Not long — we think and hope. In March, Bryant clarified that Tha Carter V would not drop on May 5, as had been rumored. He did talk it up, though. "[It's] gonna be f---in' amazing," he said. "It's gonna be that good." Those May 5 rumors were set in motion by an announcement Drake made at a party in New Orleans during NBA All-Star Weekend in February. Mel Smith, the VP of Promotion at Cash Money, added fuel to that fire. "We're very close to dropping the album," he said that same weekend. "It's going to be a huge surprise to everyone; it's an incredible album. ... I can't release the date because [Wayne] wants to surprise people; he wants his true fanbase to get excited but he's worked extremely hard on it and you won't be disappointed."
Rick Ross Admits He's Missing One Thing In His Career
By many measures, Rick Ross the Maybach Music Boss has had a lengthy and successful rap career. But there's still one thing that he's chasing. "Just executing that platinum album out the gate," Rozay told DJ Skee when asked what he felt was missing. "Six gold albums. And, really, my first album, I believe they said it's maybe 20,000 records from being certified platinum." Ross' latest disc, Mastermind, was released in early March. The album sold 179,000 copies in its first week, and has moved 290,000 units to date. His previous album, 2012's God Forgives, I Don't, was certified gold — just like his previous four. But that's not enough. "I just feel like it's still sh-- I gotta do," he said. "In that moment, I just wanna execute one of those joints. I think that most definitely [would] be something that's real cool." Beyond his musical goals, the rapper is ready to expand his business empire, including his recently formed Maybach Films. "We just finished writing our first film," he said. "We'll be giving you a lot more details about it real soon, but we just putting the final touches on this movie, which we plan on filming before the year's out. So, you can expect it early next year... I think this gonna be a game-changer."
